Let’s get straight in to it. [amazon link=”B000Q2YCOW” title=”Tisserand Tea Tree + Deep Cleansing shampoo” /] is designed for all hair types, but in particular, oily hair. The purifier is intended to absorb excess oil throughout the hair and to clean a clean and healthy scalp. It contains four essential ingredients:

  • Tea Tree Oil that is deep cleansing
  • Rosemary oil
  • Lemon oil for the refreshment properties
  • Hop botanical extract

Two of these ingredients strike out to me, the tea tree oil and lemon. Here at BloomGorgeous, we’re particularly fond of using Lemon juice to remove grease. Most importantly, this Tisserand shampoo contains Tea Tree Oil which is a gentle substance that works to strip excess oil and it also fights against bacteria.

The Positives

What’s not to love about this shampoo? First of all, it smells wonderful. The combination of organic burdock and Tea Tree Oil is a joy. Secondly, the improvements it made on my hair. After a couple days of using this product, my oily scalp was drastically reduced. It’s a life saver not having to douse my hair in dry shampoo time after time. This shampoo is also a cost effect option compared to other products on the market. The way my hair has become extra soft using this shampoo is an added bonus. I couldn’t recommend this shampoo enough to anyone trying to tackle the oily nightmare.

Before using this shampoo, I was battling seborrheic dermatitis (extreme itchiness). To my delight, this shampoo seriously helped calm the itchiness. At times, my scalp would bleed at the slightest scratch- but no more! As well as helping my greasiness, it also helped the dermatitis which is an incredibly advantage.

It is also worth noting that this product is not animal tested.

The Negatives

Some reviewers have reported the shampoo as being too strong and itchiness occurred. Though, I never experienced anything of the sort.

Final Thoughts

Tisserand Tea Tree + Deep Cleansing shampoo is a must try for anyone with the forever nightmare of oily hair. Whether you’re like me, washing hair on a daily basis is a must or you’re constantly coating hair in dry shampoo. It’s one of the cheapest products on the market and possibly one of the best. It’s best applied to wet hair, thoroughly distributed through hair and rinsed with warm water. The product colour may change over time but apparently, that’s due to the ingredients used. Not a worry. Only a small amount will go far, lathered in your palms and the delicious scent of tea tree will delight your nose. At less than £10/$10 a pop, what’s not to love? Thanks again for visiting.

  1. I’m suffering greasy oily dundurff hair. What should I do to remove it? Please give me a advise.

    • Hello Shashank,
We recommend using a purifying shampoo that is made to get rid of grease and build-up every 2-3 days and using a dry shampoo for the days in-between. Washing your hair too often sometimes is the cause of oily hair. Check around the site for lot more information.
